Big Aunt is Live!

Yes, Big Aunt is live! Well its taken me a while to get the webcam working, and I'll go into the inner workings of all that in another post. Suffice to say there are now 2 ants in the Antquarium so I say its live!
Catching ants and transferring them to the Antquarium is suprisingly difficult, one escaped in the transfer and is now roaming our back bedroom somewhere! Which is why there are only 2 ants.
Anyway I'll try and add some more ants in the next few days to keep it going, and here's hoping the tunnels start to grow!!
Right, I'm off to watch Big Brother now!

Cool!!!!Can we have a close up of the ants as well at some point they are a bit hard to spot... ;-)

This is brilliANT! Glad the webcam's working. I had a look at the webcam archive. Not much going on really. Can you add some alcohol to the Big Aunt Antquarium or something?Maybe the party will get started once you add some more ants...

Oi! That's my webcam you're insulting!No, really... I did warn him that the quality was very poor! I don't think Chris is very dedicated to this project to be honest... I'd like to see a full blown microsite with streaming video and live updates.

To answer your questions:The webcam is poor, but I can't justify the expense of a new webcam for this project.
Be patient, and eventually you should start to see the tunnels, admitadly its a bit slow, but I can't help that, they're ants!
Your logo is in use as an overlay on the webcam pictures!
A full blown microsite takes time and effort, something of which I am lacking every evening after work! If I had the time I would work on it a bit more. By all means Tony create yourself a little micro Big Aunt fan site!
