Update on the Logitech Harmony 555 universal remote control

Just a quick update on the Logitech Harmony 555 universal remote control review I wrote back in February 2008. We had to replace the batteries yesterday, so if our usage is fairly typical that means you get 4 months out of your 4 AAA batteries.

I'd recommend adding this as an update to your previous post. Otherwise, people finding that post first will never know what battery usage to expect...(Call yourself a blogger? Pffft...)

Give me chance Ruscoe, I posted this quickly this morning as I had an extra 5 minutes due to the train being delayed, I planned on updating the previous post tonight. (Damn impatient readers, pffft...)This comment posted by Chris

Mine are still going strong after 5 months. Either I'm a light user, or you're a heavy user. This comment posted by Chris

It is a damn fine remote. I think we get about 4 months from ours as well.I have the 885 previously. It had a rechargeable battery and came with a charging cradle. The batteries lasted about 24 hours and the cradle stopped registering the presence of the remote after a while so I swapped to the cheaper model and actually prefer it.
